Area Found Garden Dungeon Stats Damage 27 Max Health 5 Speed 300 XP 25 Spiked Ball is an enemy in Rogue Legacy Trivia It has no Enemy Form. Spiked Ball The sprite for the Spiked Ball General Appearance A purple circle with spikes sticking out from the left, right, top, bottom, and center. No additional downloads or actions are necessary: You don't need to download the mod from elsewhere, or change the game version, or use ModInstaller.exe. You can help Rogue Legacy Wiki by expanding it. You can ignore the old Reddit thread's installation instructions for the mod. If you die in the new zone you can lock the castle and just go back to the same shrine that you used last (the 8th one that ported you) because porting to the new zone doesn't use up the shrine. The mod is now part of the vanilla game files in the Steam version, and will be available after updating Rogue Legacy to the latest version. This will remove all the debuffs and reset your sin shrine progress to zero. If you wish to cancel your progress you can activate any normal shrine (in any zone, it does not have to be in the darkness) and it will ask if you wish to live in sin once again. After activating 7 of them then the next sin shrine activated will teleport you to the new zone. You have to activate 7 sin shrines (renouncing the 7 deadly sins) and each one nerfs/debuffs you in one way or another. Any shrine in the darkness has a 50% chance to be a sin shrine and, just like the spike room, you can quit to title and revisit it if it's a regular shrine to have a chance for it to be a sin shrine instead. The third new area can be reached in ng+3 and higher, but it's a bit more complicated and must be completed over multiple lives/castles. There are no tricks to make this one easier, but it does have a higher natural spawn rate than the red spike room for the first area. It is a blue teleporter located in the Maya. The second new area appears in ng+2 and higher. But that's OK, because no one is perfect, and you don't have to be to succeed. One child might be colorblind, another might be a dward with have vertigo. Each time you die, your child will succeed you. Calypso's Compass A compass appears at the top of the screen, pointing to the location of a secret room, When found, the secret room will appear as an otherwise unmarked area of a random room, but will display a 'press up' icon. If you find a jukebox room in the forest you can quit to title and revisit it each time it has a 10% chance of being the red spike room. Rogue Legacy is a genealogical rogue-'LITE' where anyone can be a hero. In the Lament of Zors mod, instead of the basegame effect, it doubles your damage taken but gold gain is doubled. Look for a room with red spikes and then suicide on them. My recommendation is to play Vanilla first, enjoy it if you can, and if you are hungry for more after playing one or two NG+ and don't mind playing a somewhat broken game, switch over to Lament of Zors. The first new area appears in ng+1 or higher in the forest. But the two issues I just described interfere with that aspect of game design. bit.ly/2ZzJYB7 Our last update to Rogue Legacy accidentally made it impossible for people to play default0s Lament of Zors super mod. Vanilla Rogue Legacy already had a few of these, and I consider them detriments rather than enhancements to the game, because they don't offer meaningful choices but rather restrict choice.ĭownsides paired with upsides, or which are opportunity costs, are good design imo, because they offer meaningful and interesting choices to players. Acrophobia, which gives fall damage even after a standard single jump (wtf?). And they are more powerful (Archmage) and profitable (Spelunker) by a very, very large amount.Ģ) It adds or changes a few traits which are (for me, personally) game-breakers. Lament of Zors is awesome, but it has two issues that would prevent me recommending it for a first run:ġ) Character balance is such that most of the character types are relatively undesirable compared to the two most powerful/profitable ones.
